Stadsbos013 gets its own wheelchair route
Soon, the Stadsbos013 will be more accessible to people who have become temporarily or permanently confined to a wheelchair. Indeed, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 10:30 a.m., the wheelchair route will be officially opened in the immediate vicinity of Auberge du Bonheur in the Oude Warande in Stadsbos013.
The wheelchair route is an initiative of the former T.O.G. (Tilburg Consultation of Disability Organizations), now Accessible Foundation Tilburg, to also make Stadsbos013 more accessible for visitors with disabilities.
After the official opening, you are invited to join the other attendees to get acquainted with this new route, led by some Stadsbos guides. The route through the Oude Warande not only goes along the main paths of this beautiful historic star forest. Also, through winding paths you will discover the many faces of this part of Stadsbos013.
During the week of Oct. 2-7, it is Accessibility Week. Accessibility Week 2023 likes to show that accessibility benefits everyone: accessibility pays off. The wheelchair route ties in nicely with this.
