De Wintertuin 2022
What should you think of when you think of The Winter Garden? Think of a cozy and cozy setting including campfires, winter activities, a schirmbar, cookies, fun games, a stage for young talent and of course food and drink stalls. The Winter Garden came about as an initiative from the desire to make the Spoorpark attractive to visitors in winter as well. The program is for young and old and there is something for everyone.
The floor plan:
Area 1: The Winter Garden
The winter garden itself is the "outdoor" area. The winter garden is surrounded by Christmas stalls which regularly get a new (thematic) interpretation. Warm up by the campfires or snuggle up under the stretch tent while enjoying a singer songwriter, vinyl DJ or Christmas choir on the outdoor stage.
Daily Christmas (market) houses are open until 10 p.m. unless otherwise indicated.
Area 2: The St. Klaus (The Church)
Although they are not the holiest, a large church graces the garden! Food-themed evenings can be enjoyed daily in this cozy indoor area. How about a special winter barbecue or an evening of XXL sharing dinner plates? In addition, a cozy (Christmas) movie runs regularly.
Area 3: Vriesland
Vriesland is the largest area of Winter Garden, an icy winter wonderland that will serve as the main stage of Ilovesilentdisco Winter Festival and Winter Garden Festival for the first weekend. Starting Sunday, December 18, 10:00 a.m., it will be transformed into the children's paradise with various winter activities and bouncy castles. Here the little ones can romp around under the watchful eye of supervision. Do I see Elsa or Santa Claus walking there?
Area 4: The garden house (Schirmbar)
The garden house is open daily for a chat and a drink. It is the base of the Winter Garden. So during a rainy day in the garden, it's great inside at the bar.
The Program:
Friday, December 16, The Winter Garden will be open from 16:00 to 01:00.
During the kick-off drink of De Wintertuin they invite the neighborhood for a warm welcome including an opening speech by the Spoorpark manager. The neighborhood is specifically invited, but everyone is welcome to come and take a look at the Winter Garden in advance.
The Christmas houses are filled this day with various Christmas and gift items from local entrepreneurs.
In Vriesland, we kick off The Winter Garden with Ilovesilentdisco.nl Winter Festival. The successful silent disco party has hundreds of headphones ready for a wonderful evening of dancing. Choice of 3 channels with a diverse range of acts and DJs including Johnny Purple, Ronald van Vliet and Fatguys. Visitors to Ilovesilentdisco.nl Winter Festival can also visit the garden for a rest or snack.
A delicious winter barbecue will be held in the St. Klaus. The buffet of stews will be open while the chef conjures the most delicious dishes from the ofyr.
Saturday, December 17, The Winter Garden will be open from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.
We celebrate winter together in Tilburg's warmest garden. During the Winter Garden Festival there will be a lot of fun! All area's are filled with great programming, from famous singers to dj-acts like Tino Martin, Jeffrey Heesen and Brace, Team Disco Snolly. Check the facebook event for available tickets and programming.
The Christmas houses are filled with fringe Winter Garden Festival programs on Saturday.
Sunday, Dec. 18, The Winter Garden will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
In the morning and afternoon, the Winter Garden will host a field day together with BeweegR.
From 2 p.m., the dark brown slopes will open, as the Christmas houses will be occupied by various brewers during this Winter Special Beer Festival. Expect a wide range of dark beers and of course the excellent opportunity to score another tasty beer package for under the Christmas tree.
From 15.30 there will be a big screen ready in Vriesland to watch the finals of the World Cup together!
During the Winter Beer Festival and during the World Cup finals you can reserve a meal-worthy XL-borrelplank, this delicious sharing dinnerplate is richly filled to enjoy sharing together.

This year the 11th edition of the Special Gardens route Tilburg will take place on June 15 and 16. The theme is 'Nature is also culture'. Besides the known participants, the organization is looking for new Special Gardens!

Extraordinary literary pop-ups during Street on Tilt
On Saturday, March 23, literary production house Tilt once again organizes Straat op Tilt in collaboration with Stichting Ateliers Tilburg. Together, they will turn Tilburg's city center upside down with special and controversial pop-ups!
