Eetbar De Wagon

In the middle of the Spoorzone near Central Station you will find two trains from 1900. These two trains house Eetbar De Wagon. Delicious dishes and unique own wines are served here and all while sitting in the old trains.

"We, at Ticket to Tilburg, got curious about this unique business and decided to stop by and meet the owner!"

Who is the owner?

"Sander Overweg, How could it be otherwise an Overweg (Dutch for level crossing) in the Spoorzone."

What do people come to this establishment for?

"Eetbar De Wagon is literally situated in a piece of history of Tilburg. I am of course talking about our two beautiful trains. Tilburg's Spoorzone has of course served for years as a workshop full of trains. With us you get this feeling back. You imagine yourself back in time! Of course complemented with a delicious snack and drink. With the Wagon we want to leave a trail behind. Whether this is a memory of the food we serve, the unique wines we serve or the experience we leave behind when you throw a party. We believe in creativity where it is permissible to derail!"

What is Eetbar De Wagon's specialty?

"For lunch, we naturally like to serve our "worker's lunch" a lavish lunch box filled with all kinds of deliciousness. Of course with a nod to the former workplace. In addition, we are also very proud of our group train. This exclusive train carriage is ideally suited for groups up to 50 people and has its own bar and terrace."

What is typically Tilburgian about the business?

"One of the two trains literally used to be in maintenance in De Spoorzone. How Tilburgian do you want it to be! We are super proud to have completely renovated these trains. That now every Tilburger and visitor to our beautiful city can admire them and enjoy our delicious food and drinks."
