Locals

At Locals, they are keen on good coffee. This is the place in the Dwaalgebied where you can enjoy good coffee, breakfast and lunch. With coffee beans from their own roastery. Delicious food and drinks. For on the go, in the office or at home.

A day without coffee is a day not lived. Therefore Ticket to Tilburg decided to take a look at Locals to have a chat with owners Shenol and Rachel over a cup of coffee.

Who runs Locals?

Rachel: "We are Shenol and Rachel Pishori. We started our coffee bar here in 2013. Six months later with the coffee roastery. The coffee expertise comes mainly from Shenol, he is the head roaster of the coffee roastery and barista. The food part I take care of."

What makes Locals unique?

Shenol: "Coffee! So we have a coffee bar and a coffee roastery. We roast fresh coffee beans in the industrial area every week. The coffee beans are high quality and we only work with suppliers who value sustainability and traceability. The coffee beans used at Locals come from Guatemala and are also organic."

What do people come to your establishment for, coffee?

Rachel: "Indeed for good coffee, but also the casual relaxed atmosphere. A daily relaxing moment and a place to rest in the city. Also to meet up over a coffee with something tasty or a good lunch. We have a nice coffee menu where you can also choose plant-based milk options. We also offer homemade sweets and tasty sandwiches. As much as possible homemade and with local suppliers. Hence the name "Locals. The place where we work with the locals for the locals."
