Willem II

Tilburg's soccer pride since 1896. Willem II is the vibrant football heart of Tilburg and surroundings. Not the best, but the craziest: Willem II has the ambition to become a stable middle man with occasionally a positive outlier in the Eredivisie Play Offs or KNVB Cup.

But Willem II isn't just about football. It is important to propagate the club values, the 4 T's: Tradition, Pride, Talent and Tilburg. Together with supporters, sponsors and civil society organisations, this is achieved. Moreover, community involvement is of paramount importance. The Willem II Involved Foundation was established in 2016 to ensure the best possible connection between football and society. The foundation supports, guides and initiates social projects in Tilburg and the surrounding area. The professional footballer and trainer as role models and the Koning Willem II stadium as an inspiring (learning) environment make the target groups stronger, which increases their chances. Through activities and projects aimed at talent development, participation and health, Willem II, together with partners, is committed to everyone in Tilburg and influences society in a positive way.

Documentary
The documentary "Not the best, but the craziest" by Joost van der Werff from Tilburg premiered at the beginning of June 2019. The documentary tells the story of Willem II supporters. "Since the relegation of the club there is a development going on that is absolutely worth to show. The club love, the fanaticism and the collaborations of the supporters have not gone unnoticed outside Tilburg in recent years either. This documentary is an ode to our loyal supporter,' says Joost van der Werff. Curious about the documentary? You can watch it for free here.
