At Ontdekstation013, children ages 4 to 14 can experience a creative day. Through workshops they can discover what makes their heart beat faster. Enjoy making things themselves and experimenting.

At Ticket to Tilburg, we've already passed the 14-year mark, but as an exception, we got to take a look at the city's most fun experimentation center together with director Maartje Mutsaers: Ontdekstation013.

What exactly is Ontdekstation013?

"Ontdekstation013 is the place in Tilburg where children and young people can go to explore the world of science and technology. We offer a diverse leisure program on Wednesday afternoons, weekends and vacations. Children get to work themselves with different activities and workshops, such as making their own movie with a green screen, taking apart old appliances or doing experiments during the physics workshop! We also have a Wheel of Archimedes and a mini sluice in our educational water playground." 

What makes Ontdekstation013 unique?

"Discover Station013 offers Tilburgers ages 4 and up opportunities to discover and develop their knowledge, creativity and technological talents. They come to have a fun, surprising time: you can do things with us that you won't easily do at home or at school."

What is typically Tilburgian about your discovery station?

" Ontdekstation013 is located in the Spoorzone. It used to be part of the NS workshop and our location has retained its spacious and industrial character. We like to work very much and very often with companies from Tilburg and its surroundings. In addition, all residents of Tilburg and its surroundings are welcome with us!"
