Stadscafé Meesters

Masterly enjoyment in the center of Tilburg. At Stadscafé Meesters, everyone has been welcome for more than 25 years. From students to businessmen. A real living room for the city.

Stadscafé Meesters is a well-known name in Tilburg. We wouldn't honor our name Ticket to Tilburg if we didn't pay a visit to this city living room of Arie and Rebecca.

Who runs Stadscafé Meesters?

Arie: "We do, Arie Moret and Rebecca Woerdeman. Two hard-working entrepreneurs with a love for the hospitality industry. We're both 50+ by now, but far from planning to stop. We can still be found on the floor. Hardworking is right up our alley."

What makes Meesters unique?

Rebecca: "We have room for everyone. Not only because we have a huge building, but also because we really like to welcome everyone and are a kind of city living room. You don't need a culinary background or a big wallet to eat with us. There is something on the menu for everyone and we have a place for everyone. Whether you just want to study or have a business dinner. We can seat up to 60 to 70 people in our rooms, so you can really bring all your friends."

What do people come to your establishment for?

Arie: "You come to Meesters for all kinds of things. We have an incredibly good relationship with our wine supplier so we are always up-to-date with the best wines. Whether you come to drink a rosé on the terrace in the summer or dine in the evening sun in the shade. It's all possible! We never stand still, indeed we run for you. But we never rush, everything has to look perfect. We do what we say and what we say we do."

What is typically Tilburgian about your business?

Rebecca: "We've been in the city for more than 25 years. It's hard to imagine a Tilburg without Meesters. We have a fantastic monumental building. One of the oldest buildings in Tilburg, which is still very special."
