Bienvenue à NOIR. Not only the name of this café, but also the atmosphere breathes France. Since the beginning of 1977 everyone can come here for a delicious lunch and drinks. The menu is full of sweet treats from the patisserie, delicious coffees, wines and of course the authentic NOIR Tosti Sauce.

Beautiful old building, what's the story of NOIR?

Sophie: "From the beginning in 1977, Café Noir was a busy affair. The French-looking café, founded by Huib Luijten, already attracted a wide audience back then. From truant students and punks to entrepreneurs and lawyers. In 2018, Kimm and I took over and transformed it into lunch & drinks bar NOIR. This welcoming place exudes the tranquility of yesteryear, where everyone still feels at home."

What makes NOIR unique?

Kimm: "Of course the well-known NOIR Tosti Sauce and the variety of bites for drinks. We also like to surprise you with our new lunch dishes, appetizers and bites with a great cup of coffee or a fantastic glass of wine."

What do people come here for?

Sophie: "We try to bring the living room feel to a very large group. So pampering our guests is important to us."

What is typically Tilburgian about your establishment?

Kimm: "NOIR is a household name for a lot of people from Tilburg. Because of everything that has happened here. And when you walk through our establishment you still feel that history and that nostalgic atmosphere."
