When you walk down Langestraat, chances are that a delectable smell will meet you. Follow your nose and you'll end up at Don's Noodle Shop. Ticket to Tilburg did exactly that and ended up at Stan and Jody, the couple behind the popular noodle shop.

Who is Don?

Stan: "We opened in late 2018 after my wife Jody and I returned from a trip around the world together with our infant son. Upon returning, we knew we needed to offer Tilburg more variety in terms of Asian and vegan cuisine and started Don's Noodle Shop. So named after Jody's father, who passed away in 2011 and was the master chef at home. Jody curated the first menu from our kitchen at home and it fortunately proved to be a huge success from the opening."

Why is Don's so beloved in Tilburg?

Jody: "We are always very busy in our 'smallest' restaurant in Tilburg. That has to do with the food, but also with the music. 90's hip-hop was and is an important part of our experience, because we feel that good food and good music cannot exist without each other. Also, we always want to make sure we have variety. We work with one or two new weekly specials every week, where we want to surprise and delight our guests with new flavors and dishes. So there is something new on our menu every week."

What makes your eatery typically Tilburgian?

Stan: "Jody is a native of Tilburg who has lived here all her life. Her parents are both from Indonesia. So the best of both worlds."
