Registration Open - Who Will Be the New Vincent 2024?
In the coming weeks, young drawing talents aged 10-14 from Tilburg and its surroundings can submit their very best drawings to compete for a spot in 'The New Vincent'. 'The New Vincent' is a recurring program by Vincent's Drawing Room focused on talent development in drawing.
The fifteen young participants will be selected by a professional jury. From early June onwards, the youths will embark on an intensive and engaging six-month program comprising a mix of analogue and digital drawing classes, masterclasses, and excursions. The guidance will be provided by art teachers and independent artists. Last year's participants, for example, received masterclasses from Golden Brush winner Djenné Fila, independent artist Paul van Dongen, and Marjolein Schalk from the international artist platform Wobby.club.
Exhibition & The New Vincent 2024
Throughout the program, the young artists will enhance their drawing skills, discover their own signature style, and develop a portfolio. A portion of their work will be showcased in a comprehensive final exhibition at the end of the program. The artist who stands out the most in terms of originality, quality, and growth will be declared The New Vincent 2024.

Van Gogh as an Inspirational Source
A significant source of inspiration for the talent development program is Vincent van Gogh, who attended drawing classes in Tilburg at the age of 13; the place where Vincent's Drawing Room, the initiator of this project, is located. Tilburg is also a city known for and by creators, offering incubation spaces and studios to encourage artistic endeavors. In this cultural climate, Vincent's Drawing Room thrives, making the talent development program The New Vincent a perfect fit.
