Black Cadmium refers to the chemical, highly toxic element used, among other things, in batteries. It serves as a metaphor for the discrepancy between one's capabilities and the vision of the world. The duo consists of Dutch/Surinamese producers/DJs Joginda Macnack and Mike Richards. Their sound is heavily influenced by the London-Detroit connection from Hi-Tek to Grimy UK Sounds.
