Willem II was also an entrepreneur and landowner. He is known for his construction projects such as the Lancierskazerne and the Palace here in Tilburg. He also encouraged the development of the Koningshoeven, an area where several farming estates were located. Additionally, Willem II developed projects such as a sheepfold to promote the production of fine wool. He was also active on the west side of the city, such as in the Dongewijk. Willem II considered cooperation as an important aspect of his military, political, and economic decisions.
