'Toffe Tuinen' Route
In 2024, the theme of the Toffe Tuinen route is 'Nature is also culture'. Because everything we do in our garden belongs to both urban nature and our culture. From vegetable gardening, sunbathing, resting, watering, pruning or not, crafting, playing, to eating!

That's quite a bit of land where we can do something ourselves to create a more beautiful, resilient living environment. Because, as you probably already know: due to increasing urbanization, cities and towns are getting hotter, we're experiencing more and more heavy rain showers, and biodiversity is declining rapidly. (No bees, no fruit!) Of course, we can also collect rainwater ourselves and work towards more diversity. It's just very enjoyable to see how everyone does this according to their own taste and preference. Every Cool Garden is unique in its own way. From vegetable gardens to flower paradises, from collaborative/neighbourhood gardens to creative urban gardens.

Due to all the visitors who enjoy cycling the route or prefer walking, this year they're dividing the total area into 2 parts and 2 days:
