Next Up (R-Newt Youth Work) and the digital specialists of the Tilburg online agency LiveWall are joining forces and will be teaching young people skills that will enable them to organize online events from the end of April. The events industry is going online en masse, but only a few organizations have the know-how to make this transition. Young people know the online world like no other and will learn how to apply their expertise: a promising combination.
LiveWall, based in Tilburg, works a lot with A-brands like Coca-Cola, KPN, RTL and Bol.com and has a lot of experience in organizing online events. "In the past year we have seen how online events can go very right, but also very wrong. We like to share our experiences so that young people can enrich the online event world even more", says Celine de Vries of LiveWall.
During six workshops the LiveWall team takes young people into the world of online organization. Young people learn all about producing an online live show: operating cameras, building a studio setting, using equipment, making scripts and using live stream software. As a climax of the program, the participants apply their new skills to a real online event; the Youth PitchNight of Stadsmakers013.
Young people who would like to learn how to organize online events by doing it in practice can participate for free. The workshop program starts on Wednesday, April 28. Due to corona rules there is only room for eight participants. Interested young people between 18 and 27 years old can register or request more information via Guus Verelst from R-Newt (firstname.lastname@example.org).
