The raw Wagenmakerij is regularly the location for a special event. In combination with the adjacent Koepelhal, this imposing hall offers even more possibilities. Until early 2011, the industrial Wagenmakerij was the main storage facility of the former NS workshop. Since then, the dozens of orange and red cast iron columns and wooden shed roofs regularly provide a fantastic backdrop for a variety of events.

The industrial Wagon House is approximately 4,500m2 in size and can be freely laid out. With the colored steel columns and industrial shed roofs as a backdrop, the Wagon Building always has something festive about it. The Wagenmakerij can accommodate up to 4,900 visitors. But the Wagenmakerij is also very suitable for smaller events. The Wagon House, or part of it, can also provide additional space for events in the adjacent Koepelhal, such as an entrance hall, catering facilities or space for extra toilets. The Wagenmakerij has an entrance on both the north and south side. The location has one large unheated, industrial-sized space with a striking, original steel structure and an industrial floor, a combination of paving and concrete slabs. The south side has an entrance area that can be set up as a checkroom or reception desk. There are a few toilets and connection points for electricity, water and sewage. For larger events where the existing toilets are not sufficient, you can easily place mobile toilet facilities in the Wagon House.

Facilities and possibilities

The Wagenmakerij is a versatile venue. Facilities such as stages, sound and lighting installations can be arranged as desired. As an organizer you are also free to provide your own catering. Heating, technology, equipment such as furniture and kitchens are not provided. Electric cables can be rented additionally. Do you need break-out rooms? These can be realized in the Wagenmakerij itself, but the adjacent Koepelhalle is also suitable for this purpose. In addition, the Spoorzone offers various possibilities in other (catering) locations within a short distance. The Wagenmakerij is not suitable for events with loud music, such as dance events.

Location and accessibility

Due to the central location of the Spoorzone at 500 meters from the railway station, the Wagenmakerij is perfectly accessible by public transport. The Spoorzone is adjacent to the city center of Tilburg. At about five minutes walking distance are two large parking garages: Tivoligarage and Pieter Vreedeplein. Also in the Spoorzone are parking facilities (paid) at the Smederij parking lot and along the Burgemeester Brokxlaan.
