Who owns this lovely little business?
"We do, Bastiaan and Lola. We are the new owners of Berlin since April 1, 2019. We know each other from Stoffel on the Korte Heuvel and both dreamed of our own eatery, which then had to look a bit like Berlin. Our dream finally came true when we got the chance to take over Café Berlijn together. We are two completely different people, but that is precisely what makes us a great team and we complement each other perfectly."

What makes Café Berlijn such a nice place?
"It's a neighborhood cafe where really everyone is welcome. We have an incredibly diverse crowd and almost anything goes. We have a mountain of games and regularly organize events like a PopQuiz and beer tastings. And our food is delicious. Remco is our chef and he really knows what he is doing. Furthermore, we try to put a few new beers on the menu every week so you can taste something different every week."
What is the specialty?
"That's really the conviviality and the fact that we bring people together who normally wouldn't be so quick to talk to each other. And that while enjoying a delicious beer and a nice plate of food."
What is typically Tilburgian about your establishment?
"Tilburg is a nice contrarian city. Everyone does what they feel like doing. And so are we! We do what makes us happy and what makes us happy. And we really don't care what others think about that."
