Don: "We are Don and Hanneke van Hout, started our business on Boomstraat in 2013 and have been located at Telefoonstraat 36 for many years now. Our background is in interior design and photography. After years of living and working in Antwerp, we started our business upon our return to Tilburg. At first only as a store and soon the advice and working out of interior designs was added which now comprises the majority of the work."

What makes your business unique?

Hanneke: "We are good at designing total interiors where we put the client's wishes first, but also dare to surprise. We carry many Scandinavian brands and this is where our strength lies. Our approach is very personal and we are very involved in the projects we get to work on. In addition, we are always ready for questions and with our experience and background we can give good advice for all interior design issues."

What do people come to your store for?

Don: "People come to Meneer en Mevrouw van Hout for a small gift to an entire interior and everything in between. We try to change our collection regularly where we want to offer products that you won't find everywhere. This also makes it interesting for the customer to walk in regularly."

Hanneke: "Originally we are not from Tilburg, but we feel very comfortable here. I think it is also the strength of Tilburg that you quickly feel at ease here and we convey that feeling to the people who come to our store. We are regularly told that people feel like they are coming home when they are in the store and of course this is a great compliment for an interior design store."
