Exhibition Gerret Tol

From 7 to 28 November, Gerret Tol will be exhibiting his abstract paintings in Galerie De Roos. Gerret (1956) has been painting since 1985, after studying at the Rietveldacademie, in Amsterdam.

Sorry, this event is not available anymore

He has several exhibitions in Amsterdam, The Hague and New York. In 1992 he came to Tilburg and in 1993 he chose to 'just' earn a living for his family. Art brings little income for Gerret. He continues to paint, but there are hardly any exhibitions. Now the fire has flared up again and this exhibition in Galerie De Roos is the kick-off for a new period.

Drawings painted on canvas
The exhibited works are new, large canvases (100x120) from the last few years.
Painting is a process of days and weeks. It is searching for the movement that lines make. He often makes his work in nature: outside, especially in the woods of Brabant. The abstract forms are painted expressionistically and the colour is bright and sharp with black chalk.

Practical
