Music & Words

Festival Better Get Hit presents Music & Words, a genre in its own right. Within this genre music is combined with literature, poetry or spoken word. Visitors to the festival get the chance to immerse themselves in musical storytelling. This gives rise to unusual combinations of musicians and writers, but there are also artists who combine these concepts themselves, such as Aafke Romeijn. During the festival the musician, writer and journalist will recite her poems and literary works in combination with her recently released music. Besides Aafke Romeijn, this year's Music & Words bill features names like Lev Avitan, Artvark Saxophone Quartet & Nyk de Vries and The Giant Everywhere: Teus Nobel, Reinier Baas, Alexander van Popta and Wil Boesten.
