KennisMakerij Revue

It is sometimes said that "the LocHal is the living room of the city". In order to have the LocHal in your living room during these times, there is a weekly programme that is broadcast live from an empty LocHal: the KennisMakerijRevue.

In anticipation of the move to the LocHal, the KennisMakerij proeftuin library said goodbye to the old location in the Spoorzone with the KennisMakerijRevue: an evening full of special and diverse themes. With the current online version, subjects are not bundled in one evening, but in a series of weekly programmes. The premiere will be on Tuesday 21 April. In this first episode, an online lecture will focus on the art of doing nothing. Because in addition to working from home, chores and netflixing, we all seem to spend quite a lot of time on this at the time of the corona crisis. Journalist and author Maartje Willems is a guest speaker. She wrote the book 'Niksen - Lang leve het lanterfanten'.

LocHal at your home
Programme makers Eef van Eerdewijk and Mark Dekker create this series with the idea of bringing the living room of the city into the living rooms of the people of Tilburg. And to bring the living rooms of Tilburg to the LocHal. "But that's quite a technical story! In any case, we hope to provide a form of connection so that people can still experience the LocHal together and be at an activity. And we are trying to use the content to add something to the wide range that can now be found online", according to the programme makers of the KennisMakerij. "In the second episode, evolutionary psychologist Henk Verhoeven tells us more about our behaviour in this time of crisis. After that, subjects such as slower life, the added value of gaming and the accelerated development of working from home will be discussed".

Attend
You can attend the KennisMakerijRevue free of charge every week via the livestream on bibliotheekmb.nl on Tuesday at 16.00 hours. The broadcasts can also be watched there at a later time. Be welcome in a virtual LocHal anyway. Grab a drink at home like you would in the Stadscafé and pop down on the grandstand of your own living room.
