The Meimarkt is a typical Tilburg event that is eagerly awaited by many people. After two years of absence, it is very good news that this year another Meimarkt is planned. 4 and 5 June it is!
From Saturday afternoon until Sunday afternoon, the city centre is once again transformed into the largest flea market in the south of the Netherlands. With more than 750 stalls, 40 floor spots and 80 children's spots spread across the shopping streets and the large squares, you can spend many hours here bargain hunting. Also at night, because the May Market traditionally continues for 24 hours.
The coming May Market is a special one. Not only because the event is back after two years, but especially because it is already the 40th edition! The Meimarkt started small in 1975 and has since grown into an event that attracts over 100,000 visitors annually. To celebrate this anniversary, the organisation is going all out this year, with more street entertainment and a silent disco. Even if you are not looking for stuff, the Meimarkt is definitely worth a visit.
