On 13 October, Pop Up Cinema and the Night Sister present the documentary Moonage Daydream and a subsequent performance by Tilburg performance band LaPiratesse.

Moonage Daydream
Moonage Daydream (2022) is an experimental documentary like you've never seen one before. Documentary filmmaker Brett Morgen weaves together spectacular archive material into a kaleidoscopic, semi-psychedelic and highly ambitious portrait of the eclectic artist. Featuring never-before-seen concert footage, the film is an audiovisual space journey that not only highlights David Bowie's enigmatic legacy, but also serves as a guide to a life that is meaningful and also fulfilling in the 21st century. Moonage Daydream is more than a documentary. It is a cross-genre cinematic experience based on one of the most iconic world-famous rock stars of all time.

Lapiratesse
LaPiratesse is the performance band of artist Inez Wolters. Partly influenced by shapeshifting David Bowie, the intensity of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds and the magical surreality of Sigur Ros, LaPiratesse brings a rich mix of modern classical, to jazz and pop-rock, world music, as well as dance, fashion-design and spoken word. "With a front woman who doesn't sing, but has something to say!"

Especially for Pop Up Cinema x The Night Sister, LaPiratesse will perform an intimate set. Inez does so together with multi-instrumentalist Wouter de Belder and guitar sound wizard Willem Heylen. Sander Verbiest creates live visuals with projected ecoline creations. Inez plays with the power of transformation during the performance, creating a visually rich sequence of characters and costumes.
