WIES is a Dutch-language pop trio from Amsterdam, consisting of Jeanne Rouwendaal, Tobias Kolk, and Dan Huijser. In addition to influences from alternative rock and electronica, WIES brings you an unmistakable DIY mentality.
The songs are reflections on both life's big questions and the small things that occupy a young adult's mind. The debut album 'Het Is Een WIES' was released in 2021 and includes the singles 'Soms Is Het Te Laat,' 'Barman,' 'Meisje,' and 'Radiostilte.' To celebrate the album, the band embarked on a club tour, and last summer, they performed at festivals such as Pinkpop, Best Kept Secret, and Concert at SEA. In the fall of 2023, their second album 'Alles Anders' will be released, commemorated with their biggest club tour to date! With the mega-hit 'Ik Zie Ik Zie' and the new energetic track 'Blijf Weg,' we can expect a renewed sound from the Amsterdam-based trio, still characteristic of WIES.

The support for this evening will be provided by NoƩmie Wolfs. You may know this Flemish artist from her previous work with Hooverphonic, but since 2016, Wolfs has been releasing solo music. Her third album 'Wild At Heart' is set to be released in November, telling a love story through danceable, electronic beats where analog synths come together with grand orchestral strings.
